Next Threat Friday?


———A system scheduled to pass through the area later this week had been modeled to track north of our area, thus giving a chance of rain.  However, the latest american models, the NAM and GFS, depicted above, have trended further south with this system, and as such there is a possibility that this storm will track far enough south for us to be on the northern (colder) section of this storm and the precipitation remain all snow.  It will likely be a close call again, as temperatures will be marginal at best for snow and there may be mixing issues again.  We’ll have to monitor the models runs over the next few days as the eventual track becomes more clear.
