I just want to say someone should get in contact with who ever, I assume at the college for McHenrys weather reporting station and have them move there thermometer because it way overdoes it in the sunny afternoons…been like that forever
Absolutely agree, from the readings it seems as though their thermometer receives direct sunlight, NOAA guidelines (I believe) call for a box painted white that is vented, at least that’s what my prof at Penn State said. It’s very misleading especially in the winter when their readings will be well above freezing, but the temp clearly isn’t.
